Creatures – Poem

17 Apr

Creatures dwell in the earth,
Creatures are small and big
big and large, large and huge.

The lion is golden,
it’s mane in the shape of Spain.

A Zebra is stripy,
like a chess board,

An Elephant is grey,
as dull as the sky,

Monkeys are cheeky,
like a little baby,

A giraffe is long necked,
for eating it’s food

A hen is crazy
and loves to brood,

Gazelles are quick,
but not as fast as. . .

Cheetahs are fast,
slick and narrow,
they they run like the wind and just like a . . .

Sparrows are small,
minute and nimble

Squirrels are nuts,
in plenty of ways,

Snails are slow,
they are eaten in France,

but humans are strange,
they play and live and die and then they take one of two paths. . .
